Tireswing Theatre - May to December 2006

The Tsar of the Crows is a Ukrainian folk tale that follows the story of three brothers who seek to bring prosperity back to their small village. Each brother makes the journey to return with his goal, but first each must confront the Tsar of the Crows. Which brother will be successful and why?

Tireswing Theatre uses the “transformation” technique for all its touring productions. In transformation theater actors use only their bodies, voices and very minimal props to tell the story but the results are imaginative, exciting and fast paced. The Tsar of the Crows will also feature traditional Ukrainian folk dance choreographed by Toma Antonovych.

Tireswing is able to take this 4 actor show anywhere! We have performed at various events, schools, summer camps, birthday parties, museums, street fairs, and other popular venues. Our show doesn’t require any lighting, sound equipment, or heavy scenery—making it easy to set up and perform for your audience!
