Tireswing Theatre - Fall 2006

THE JATAKA TALES

Written and directed by Andrew Lines

The Jataka Tales take you on a journey to the jungles of India where there are lions and tigers…no bears…but there are elephants, snakes, monkeys, fish, quail, rhinoceroses and the occasional water demon who never gets any thanks for tending his water lilies.

The Jataka Tales, adapted by Andrew Lines, tell of the many incarnations of Buddha as he attempts to teach mankind about the 10 perfections including fairness and loving kindness.

With music that will keep you hopping in your seat and original, authentic Indian choreography by Jenn SavaRyan, Tireswing Theatre’s journey to India is fun for the whole family. As one young audience member says, “I want to come and see it every day!” And you will too!
